Pen pressure works on my Mac version of Photoshop, and on another laptop. So the problem is not my tablet. Apparently this is a common problem with SAI, these are the methods of 'fixing' the problem that I have attempted: I have set detection pressure to 0% on SAI I reinstalled Parallels I have selected DEN and Size under advanced.
- I have Parallel & I have Windows 7. I was told if I had both of these I could get pen pressure to work on my mac. For the record I have a Mac OS X computer, running on Windows through parallel.
- Nov 11, 2011 Paint Tool Sai is the program I've been using for a while now with my intuos 4 wacom tablet but I found that the tablet pen isn't working with it anymore?
- Just to be specific, this is mostly for Wacom pen tablets in the program Paint Tool SAI. Also, this is pretty much Windows 7 specific, sorry Mac users. I also use a Wacom Intuos Tablet Medium, (I very recently upgraded from a small) though I doubt that will be to much use to you.
- PaintTool SAI (sometimes referred to as Paint Tool SAI, SAI) was added by Journeyman in Apr 2009 and the latest update was made in Aug 2018. The list of alternatives was updated Aug 2018 There is a history of all activites on PaintTool SAI in our Activity Log.
- Paint tool is an industrious and small tool similar to photoshop but awsome for manga and anime images as well as other photo editing. This is PaintTool SAI running on Mac OS X via a self contained Wine wrapper.
- On a Mac, Pen Pressure is not supported on Paint Tool Sai unless you run it through Windows. (More on that later, if that applies to you) What worked for me on Windows 7 (run through Parallels on my Mac) was to go to the Control Panel -> Hardware -> Bamboo Preferences ->Remove Preferences.
Paint Tool Sai For Mac Pen Pressure Fix
I recently got a surface pro (2017). I kind of got it to draw, and downloaded paint tool sai. However, when I try to use it, there is no pen pressure. And just for sai too, because it works on photoshop and clip studio paint. I've only gotten the trial version for now, and it just doesn't work; have tried troubleshooting compatibility, redownloading the wintab, and other stuff but nothing seems to be working. It also works on paint tool sai 2, but you can only really use sai 2 if you have bought the software license for sai 1.
I'm not really comfortable using clip studio paint or photoshop to draw, sai just is easiest to me and i've only gotten free trials for them just to test whether or not they work on it; if I'm just unable to use sai on the surface, I'll try to adapt to csp (as a final resort).
everything i've searched are only helpful for previous surface models, because when i tried on mine it wouldn't work.
anything i can do?
